Why L&A Solutions LLP
We are a small team by design. That means you speak to someone who already knows your business, and your work does not sit in a queue behind a much larger client.
You are introduced to the people who will look after your accounts, and you keep the same contact as your business grows.
We explain what your figures mean and what happens next, without assuming you have a finance background.
Filing and payment dates are tracked for you, with reminders well ahead of time rather than the week before.
Start with the basics and add bookkeeping, VAT or payroll when your business needs them, without changing accountant.
Records are uploaded to a secure portal, so nothing is lost in an inbox and everything is easy to find later.
An agreed monthly fee for agreed work. If something falls outside it, we tell you what it costs before we start.
How it works
Getting started takes less admin than most people expect. Here is exactly what happens.
Share how you are set up, roughly what you turn over and which parts of the accounts you would like us to handle.
We confirm the services you need and send a written fee, so you can see exactly what is and is not included.
We carry out standard identity checks, obtain authorisation to act with HMRC and collect your records securely.
Your deadlines go into a schedule, reminders start arriving in good time, and your named contact is there for questions.
Digital accounting support
You should not have to email a year of receipts in one go. We keep document exchange simple, track what is outstanding and work with the cloud accounting tools you already use.
If your records live somewhere else, tell us and we will confirm whether we can work with it before you commit to anything.
We work with third-party accounting software. L&A Solutions LLP does not publish its own accounting platform.

Compare plans in fullClient feedback
The quotations below are placeholders showing how verified client feedback will appear. They will be replaced with real, attributable comments before launch.
This space is reserved for a client describing how the year-end process felt from their side: what they had to provide, how quickly questions were answered and how the final accounts were explained to them.
Use this quotation for feedback about switching accountants: how the handover was arranged, what information was needed from the previous adviser and how long the change took in practice.
This third slot suits a comment about ongoing support: bookkeeping and payroll running to a routine, reminders arriving ahead of deadlines and knowing who to call with a question.

If your question is not covered here, send it over and we will answer it directly.
It depends on what you choose. A typical limited company arrangement covers year-end accounts, the corporation tax return, a director Self Assessment return and deadline reminders. Bookkeeping, VAT and payroll can be added to the same monthly fee. Whatever you select, your engagement letter lists exactly what is included so there is no ambiguity later.
Yes, and you can do it at any point in the year. We write to your current accountant for the information we need, which is a routine part of the profession, and we agree with you what happens to any work already in progress. In most cases there is very little for you to do beyond confirming that you are happy for us to make contact.
Not necessarily. If your records are simple, a well-organised spreadsheet and your bank statements can be enough. Once you register for VAT you will need software that meets Making Tax Digital requirements. We will tell you what your situation requires and help you set it up if needed, rather than pushing you towards a subscription you do not use.
No. Monthly arrangements run on a rolling basis with one month of notice on either side. That notice period exists so we can finish work in progress and hand your records over properly, not to keep you tied in.
We look at your business structure, turnover, the number of directors or partners and the services you need. Transaction volume also matters, because bookkeeping work scales with the number of entries. The quote calculator on this site uses those same factors to produce an indicative figure before you speak to us.
Build an indicative quote on this site or send us a short message about your business. We will confirm what you need, send a written fee, then complete standard identity checks and HMRC authorisation. Most clients are set up and working with us within a couple of weeks.
