How it works
How a service arrangement works
Every engagement follows the same straightforward route, so you know what happens next at each stage.
Step 01: Scope the work
We talk through your structure, records and deadlines, then set out exactly which services you need and which you do not.
Step 02: Agree the fee
You receive a written quotation with the monthly fee and anything charged separately, so there are no surprise invoices later.
Step 03: Set up your records
We complete onboarding checks, obtain authorisation to act with HMRC and get your bookkeeping in a workable shape.
Step 04: Run the year
Work is scheduled against your filing dates, with reminders in advance and a named contact whenever a question comes up.
Questions
Choosing the right services
A few things worth knowing before you decide what to include.
Yes. Most clients group year-end accounts, tax returns and bookkeeping into a single monthly arrangement, which spreads the cost across the year and keeps everything on one timetable. You can add payroll or VAT at any point.
We do. A single Self Assessment return, a set of catch-up accounts or a company formation can all be handled as standalone work with a fixed fee agreed in advance.
Yes. We review the records prepared so far, agree what needs tidying and set out any additional cost before we begin, so you can decide whether to switch now or at your year end.
We support a broad range of UK small businesses, including consultancies, trades, creative studios, online retailers and professional services. If your sector carries specific rules that fall outside our expertise, we will say so and suggest a specialist.
